Visma expands into new markets by acquiring Szàmlàzz in Hungary and SaldeoSMART in Poland. Growth continues in the Netherlands through the acquisition of Raet, a market leader in HR and government software, along with several other companies. Visma signs a sponsorship deal to become the title sponsor of Team Jumbo-Visma, starting January 1, 2019. Merete Hverven is selected as Deputy CEO to succeed Øystein Moan in 2020.

This was evident in the increased demand for cloud solutions, accelerating growth from new customers, and strong cloud acquisition targets choosing to join the Visma family. Visma had a record acquisition pace in 2020, acquiring 37 companies.

The Covid-19 pandemic continued to challenge global markets, but Visma remained steady and growing with a record 42 companies acquired, including in new markets such as Spain and Austria. Visma saw double-digit revenue and EBITDA growth across the Nordics, Benelux, Continental Europe, and Latin America.
